Products Description

The double-head terminal machine is specially designed for crimping terminals onto wires to achieve insulation and other purposes. This machine is a fully automatic working mode. It is equipped with two crimping heads. It can crimp terminals on both ends at the same time. You can also choose to crimp only one end of the terminal. You can adjust the machine according to your needs to achieve the processing goal. This machine can crimp a variety of terminal types, and only needs to replace the mold on the machine. It is easy to operate and has strong applicability.

Products features

1. The fully automatic double-head terminal machine is mainly used to process relatively thin wires (such as electronic wires) and high-precision wires. The cutting and stripping process is more precise and stable.

2. The double-head terminal machine adopts cash stepper motor and high-quality screw to ensure the accuracy, efficiency and stability of the machine.

3. The operation panel is a fully automatic touch screen. The input of cutting length, wire stripping, half-stripping, twisting and other parameters can be completed at one time. The operation is simple and can also be operated by non-professionals.

4. Automatically detect machine faults and display the cause of the fault, helping to quickly troubleshoot and improve production efficiency.

FAQ

What is terminal crimping?

A crimped terminal or splice is mounted between two poles – one pole vibrates and the other remains a stationary support.

Why is my crimping not good?

Using the wrong crimp tool or die set can result in a damaged connector. If the crimp is too tight, the copper lugs could be cracked. Contrary, if the crimp is too loose it could allow aramid slippage, decreasing the pull force.

What is the difference between a crimp lug and a compression lug?

On a crimp connector, the outer shield of the cable crimps or squeezes onto the body of the connector. The center conductor either crimps or solders to the center pin of the connector. In a compression connector, the outer shield of the cable is compressed against the body of the cable with a threaded nut.

Should you twist wires when crimping?

You want the strands to be as dense and tightly packed as possible with a slight factory twist before the crimp, but you don't want to overdo it. If the wires are deformed from a twist or kink, it'll negatively affect the crimp's quality and the connection.

Why would you use a crimped terminal instead of a soldered terminal?

Crimped connections are more flexible, heat-resistant and vibration-resistant than soldered ones which have greater potential for wire fatigue and stiffening. Crimping is often more consistent than soldering, which can vary according to method or technician.

Is soldering wires better than crimping?

Crimping has several advantages over soldering, including speed and ease of use. It does not require heat or solder, making it a safer option than soldering. Additionally, crimping does not damage the insulation or components of the wires, making it ideal for a variety of crimps.

Do you need to strip wire before crimping?

Determine the length of the wire, and strip the end. The stripping length should be such that when you insert the wire into the crimp, there should be at least 1 or 2 mm protruding from it. Cut the insulation off the end, and expose the wire strands. Our double-head termianl crimping machine with stripping function, before crimping it.

Why is crimping so hard?

Manual crimping is a labor-intensive job. Our fully automatic terminal crimping machine is simple and convenient to operate, with high efficiency and high precision.

How will you test the crimping terminal to ensure that it is serviceable?

Most manufacturers use pull testing to assess crimped connections and ensure that terminals are properly attached. Pull testing measures the amount of tensile force required to separate a crimped terminal from a wire. To minimize the chance of product failure, it should take a good amount of force to do that.

What are the problems with crimping?

Poorly crimped connections can lead to a variety of issues, such as an electrical short, an open circuit, or a weak connection. Poor quality crimps can cause corrosion, intermittent or poor performance of the connection, and even complete failure of the connection. Choosing a fully automatic double-head terminal crimping machine can effectively avoid these problems.

Is crimping more reliable than soldering?

Crimping is recommended for applications that require high reliability in harsh environments. Crimping has several advantages over soldering. It is a simple, fast process that can be either performed manually or automated via a crimping machine. But if your processing volume is particularly large, it is recommended to use a fully automatic terminal crimping machine, which can greatly improve work efficiency.
