A terminal crimping pressure monitoring system-also known as a terminal pressure management device-is a system designed to monitor production stability by detecting pressure fluctuations during the crimping process. Typically installed on crimping equipment, it assesses the quality of crimped products by monitoring pressure changes, thereby enhancing production efficiency. These devices come in single-channel and dual-channel configurations; dual-channel units are generally used on double-ended crimping machines, where a single main unit connects to two pressure sensors. Equipping a crimping machine with such a device allows for the detection of defects-such as poor crimps, wire cut-throughs, or insulation crimping errors-providing a reliable basis for identifying defective products. By using this device, manufacturers can detect these issues and prevent defective products from reaching customers, thereby avoiding serious quality failures.

The device operates by first collecting pressure waveforms from a set of known good products to generate a "reference waveform." During production, waveforms from the actual crimping process (test waveforms) are compared against this reference. If the deviation exceeds a preset threshold, an alarm signal is triggered. Specifically, the comparison involves extracting characteristic values-such as peak values or the area under the curve-within a designated interval and comparing the reference values against those of the test waveform. When an alarm is triggered, an operator must manually verify the product quality, classify it as acceptable or defective, and clear the alarm before production resumes.

Additionally, the pressure management device enables real-time monitoring of the crimping machine's stability and operational status via pressure curves. This allows for timely maintenance and repair of molds, blades, and the machine itself, thereby optimizing equipment performance.

Since the terminal pressure management device identifies defects based on real-time monitoring of pressure fluctuations during crimping, the accuracy of pressure measurement is critical; it directly determines the reliability of defect detection.
