In recent years, the mechanical industry has developed rapidly, and the potential of the industry is even greater. Vertical injection molding machines are widely used in various fields such as automotive manufacturing, electronics, and healthcare. There are also vertical and horizontal injection molding machines in the injection molding machine industry. Today, we will talk about the differences between vertical and horizontal injection molding machines.

Differences between vertical and horizontal injection molding machines:

1. The vertical injection molding machine's belt conveyor device is easy to install through the middle of the mold, making it easy to achieve automatic molding production.

2. Vertical injection molding machines have advantages in ensuring the consistency of resin flow and mold temperature distribution within the mold.

3. Vertical injection molding machines generally have open and open locking devices around them, making it easy to configure various automation devices and suitable for automatic molding of complex and exquisite products.

4. The vertical injection molding machine is equipped with rotating table tops, moving table tops, and tilting table tops, making it easy to achieve insert molding and in mold combination molding.

5. When conducting small-scale trial production of vertical injection molding machines, the mold structure is simple, low-cost, and easy to unload.

6. The weight of the vertical injection molding machine mold is supported by a horizontal template for up and down opening and closing actions, and there will be no phenomenon similar to a horizontal machine where the mold cannot be opened or closed due to the forward tilting caused by the gravity of the mold. It is beneficial for maintaining the accuracy of machinery and molds for durability.

7. The injection device and mold locking device of the vertical injection molding machine are located on the same vertical centerline, and the mold is opened and closed in an upward and downward direction. Its floor area is only about half that of a horizontal machine, so when converted to floor area, its productivity is about twice that.

8. Vertical injection molding machines are easy to achieve insert molding. Because the surface of the mold is facing upwards, it is easy to position the insert. By using a machine with a fixed lower template and a movable upper template, the belt conveyor device can be combined with a robotic arm to easily achieve fully automatic insertion molding. However, current horizontal injection molding machines can also effectively achieve insert molding, which is no longer significantly different from vertical ones.
