1. Daily Maintenance (Before & After Operation)

Clean the machine Wipe off copper scraps, wire insulation debris and dust on rollers, blades, guide grooves and worktable after every shift. Do not let waste accumulate, which may jam the feeding mechanism or scratch the cutting edge.

Check cutting blades Inspect blade sharpness. Replace or grind blades if they produce uneven stripping, nicked copper conductors or incomplete insulation removal. Check blade gap to match wire diameter.

Inspect feeding rollers Check roller surface for wear, slipping or rubber aging. Clean rubber rollers of sticky plastic residue; adjust roller pressure to avoid crushing wires or feeding failure.

Check loose parts Quickly tighten loose screws on blade holders, roller brackets and wire guides.

Power & safety check Turn off power before cleaning. Verify emergency stop button works normally.

2. Weekly Maintenance

Lubricate moving parts Apply proper lubricating oil to bearings, slide rails and transmission chains/gears. Do NOT oil rubber feeding rollers (oil will cause rubber swelling and skidding).

Calibrate stripping parameters Test sample wires, adjust stripping length, cutting depth and feed speed. Confirm no over-cutting into conductors.

Check wiring & cables of the machine Check internal power lines for wear, cracks or exposed copper.

Clean dust from motor and control box Use dry compressed air to blow dust away from motor and PLC control cabinet (keep air pressure moderate).

3. Monthly Maintenance

Deep disassembly cleaning Take apart the wire feeding channel and blade assembly to fully remove hidden insulation chips.

Comprehensive wear inspection Evaluate wear of rollers, bearings, gears, belts and guide blocks; replace severely worn spare parts in advance.

Check electrical components Check relays, sensors and limit switches. Confirm photoelectric wire sensors can detect wires stably.

Tighten all mounting bolts Recheck frame, motor and reducer fixing bolts.

4. Long-Term / Seasonal Maintenance

If the machine will be idle for a long time: clean thoroughly, coat bare metal parts with anti-rust oil, cover with dust cover, and cut off power supply.

Replace aging belts and degraded rubber rollers regularly according to usage frequency.

Check reducer oil level and change gear oil following manufacturer instructions.

5. Important Precautions

Only trained operators can adjust blades and machine parameters.

Always power off before maintenance to prevent accidental startup.

Do not use corrosive solvent to clean rubber rollers or plastic parts.

Keep the working environment dry; avoid moisture entering electrical control box to prevent short circuit.

Record maintenance logs: maintenance date, replaced parts and faults.
